Apple & Sultana Pastries

Made with Griffin's Sultana Pasties, these chocolatey pastries are effortlessly delicious and can be made for less than $20!

Ingredients
  • 1 packet of Griffin's Sultana Pasties
  • 2 sheets of frozen Flaky Puff Pastry 
  • 600g Royal Gala Apples (around 4 apples)
  • 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp White Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Milk

Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 200c and line a tray with baking paper.
  2. To prepare the apples, peel and cut them into small cubes. 
  3. Add the apples and 1 tablespoon of water to a saucepan and bring to the boil. Cover and leave at to simmer a medium heat for 15 minutes or until soft.
  4. Roughly chop the Sultana Pasties and add to the apples with the cinnamon, stirring to combine. 
  5. Spread the apple mixture evenly over the 2 pastry sheets, leaving a 1cm edge around the sides.
  6. Brush the edges with milk and roll the pastry carefully into a log.
  7. Slice the log into 8-10 even pieces and lay them flat on the lined tray.
  8. Brush each piece with milk and top with a sprinkle of sugar, before putting them in the oven to bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
