Easy Chocolate Caramel Slice

With a rich and crumbly base, delicious gooey caramel that holds its shape and decadent chocolate this is the perfect old-fashioned caramel slice to impress all your friends with. Best of all it is quick and easy to make.

Ingredients

For the Base:

  • 2 packets of Griffin's Chocolate Chit Chats 
  • 100g Butter, melted

For the Caramel:

  • 1x 395g tin of Condensed Milk
  • 2 tbsp Golden Syrup
  • 30g Butter

For the Icing:

  • 250g Dark Chocolate
  • 20g Butter
Instructions
  1. Crush the biscuits in a food processor. Add the melted butter and process until combined.
  2. Press the mixture into a greased, lined 20x30cm shallow baking tin. Set aside.
  3. Add caramel ingredients to a saucepan. Gently heat the ingredients until combined then pour over base.
  4. Once caramel has cooled, melt the chocolate with the butter. Stir until smooth then spread over the caramel.
  5. Place slice in fridge and chill for an hour or until set. Cut into squares to serve*.

*Tip: Use a knife dipped in hot water to cut into perfect squares.
