Super Wine Chocolate Tart

A silky and decadent tart made for less than $20.  


For the crust:

  • 1 packet of Griffin’s Super Wine biscuits
  • 100g Butter, melted


For the filling:

  • 250ml Cream
  • 50g Butter
  • 200g Dark Chocolate, finely chopped
  • 180g Milk Chocolate, finely chopped
  1. In a food processor, crush the Super Wine biscuits to a fine crumb. Add the melted butter and process again until fully combined. 
  2. Press the crust mixture into a lined 8-inch cake tin and set in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  3. To prepare the filling, heat the cream and butter in a medium saucepan until it reaches a simmer. 
  4. Add all of the chopped chocolate to a bowl and pour over the hot cream mixture, allowing it to sit for a minute before stirring until fully combined. 
  5. Pour the filling into the refrigerated crust and return to the fridge to set for 4 hours or overnight.
  6. Slice and enjoy!
