Krispie Coconut Rough Slice

With a crunchy chocolate base and fudgy icing, this slice is one to share!

Ingredients

For the base:

  • 1 packet of Griffin’s Krispie biscuits
  • ½ cup Desiccated Coconut
  • 2 Tbsp Cocoa Powder
  • 80 g Butter
  • ½ cup Sweetened Condensed Milk

 

For the icing:

  • 25g Butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Essence
  • 1 Tbsp Boiling Water
  • 1 cup Icing Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Cocoa Powder
  • 1 cup Desiccated Coconut

Instructions
  1. To make the base, crush the Krispie biscuits in a food processor until they resemble breadcrumbs. Add the coconut and cocoa powder and blitz again to combine.
  2. Melt together the butter and condensed milk in the microwave, and add the mixture to the biscuit crumbs. Blitz until well combined.
  3. Spread the base mixture into a lined slice tin, making sure to press it down firmly. Place into the fridge.
  4. To make the icing, combine the melted butter, condensed milk, vanilla and boiling water in a medium bowl. Mix in the icing sugar, cocoa, and coconut, stirring until fully combined.
  5. Spread the icing evenly over the slice and place back in the fridge to set for at least 1 hour.
  6. Slice and enjoy!
