Krispie Coconut Rough Slice
With a crunchy chocolate base and fudgy icing, this slice is one to share!
Ingredients
For the base:
- 1 packet of Griffin’s Krispie biscuits
- ½ cup Desiccated Coconut
- 2 Tbsp Cocoa Powder
- 80 g Butter
- ½ cup Sweetened Condensed Milk
For the icing:
- 25g Butter, melted
- 1/2 cup Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 1 tsp Vanilla Essence
- 1 Tbsp Boiling Water
- 1 cup Icing Sugar
- 2 Tbsp Cocoa Powder
- 1 cup Desiccated Coconut
Instructions
- To make the base, crush the Krispie biscuits in a food processor until they resemble breadcrumbs. Add the coconut and cocoa powder and blitz again to combine.
- Melt together the butter and condensed milk in the microwave, and add the mixture to the biscuit crumbs. Blitz until well combined.
- Spread the base mixture into a lined slice tin, making sure to press it down firmly. Place into the fridge.
- To make the icing, combine the melted butter, condensed milk, vanilla and boiling water in a medium bowl. Mix in the icing sugar, cocoa, and coconut, stirring until fully combined.
- Spread the icing evenly over the slice and place back in the fridge to set for at least 1 hour.
- Slice and enjoy!
